My husband and I were looking to purchase carpet for 3 rooms we finished in our basement. In my experience with shop-at-home flooring, I was expecting the price to be on the high side. I had no intention on agreeing to anything when they came to our home for the free in-home estimate. However, the price they quote we nearly half of what I expected! The carpet style and texture was identical to what we had purchased last year at Lowe\'s. We had spent $1500 for almost half the amount of carpeting that NFD was quoting only $1300 for! Plus NFD would move all furniture and remove and dispose of all of the old carpeting (we would have had to pay extra for that from most places). I made the down-payment and we set up installation for 2 days later. In the meantime, I looked on the internet and found some not-so-great reviews (as well as some great ones). I do understand that most people will take time out to write a negative review to vent about problems while very few will take time to write a good review. Still, I was a bit leary. However, we had made the down-payment and as money was VERY tight, I decided to stick with our NFD purchase. The install day came and by 10am, I was getting worried as I never heard from anyone. So I placed a call and apparently there was a mix-up and our install date was recorded as the 27th rather than the 22nd (although it was understandable because at first glance the receipt it did look like a 27 rather than a 22). Still, within about 20 minutes, they confirmed they would be out that day as initially promised and sure enough, the installers arrived by 1:15pm. They worked diligently straight through. They were finished around 8-8:30pm and when they were done, we were thrilled at the results. We thoroughly inspected it and even with concrete floor and walls there were somewhat uneven, the job was professional and looked wonderful! There had been a square area around the water heater and furnace that the previous owners had left uncarpeted. We were not expecting the installers at NFD to cut all that out and carpet that area, but they did. It was perfect! The padding is a good bit thicker than what we got with the \"premium padding\" from Lowe\'s also. As the floor was concrete, we were expecting the carpet just to glued down. However, they used tack strips AND glue, so it is extra secure. Our experience with NFD was so much more than we had hoped for. We will definitely be recommending them to others and will be calling for another in-home estimate when we are ready to recarpet and put new vinyl flooring upstairs.

I had carpet and wood floors installed in March. The rugs were perfect but there was an issue with the wood floor. National Floors Direct sent out floor examiners and a new sales rep to make sure we selected an appropriate floor to go over our cement surface. The new team that came out could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They resurfaced/leveled the floor and installed the most beautiful wood floor. I am so impressed with their commitment to make their customers happy!! Thanks NFD!

we had National floors back in Febuary install a laminate floor in our living room the workmanship was ok and the installer never shut up asking us why we were going over good oak floors well we have two cocker spanials and these laminate floors are a blessing. We decided to have another area done so we contacted you people this time for both carpet and laminate flooring carpet installers did an excellent job but the two floor installers that came yesterday were just the best got here at nine and never stopprd for lunch the professionalizm of these two installers was above reproach and their workman ship the same thank you

I just wanted to pass on to you how happy my husband and I are with our new rug. We love it. The entire process was easy from the free estimate to the installation. I would like to specifically commend Jon Schaeffer, the salesman who came to give us our free estimate. He was the first person to actually explain to us the differences in carpet and what to look for. We had been to 2 different retailers and not one salesperson could explain to us what he did or cared to explain. We also saved $2,000.00 going with National Floors Direct. When the time comes for us to replace our wood floors, we will definitely call National Floors Direct again.

I just wanted to tell you about a pleasant experience I had with two of your field agents. Larry Tatenbaum and his wife came out to appraise my house for potential reflooring. They were polite and professional; the estimate was obtained within 15-20 minutes, and while I was waiting for the estimate to be finalized, Larry gave me all the pros and cons to what I was looking for. Both of them were honest about what I could and could not expect from this job, and gave me important and useful information. They should both be complimented on a job well done.

The salesman, Dan, was courteous and professional as were Carlos and Javier, the installers. I met with Dan on Monday and today is Thursday and I have nice beautiful hardwood floors. The salesman (JOE) came to my house at noon on Monday at approx. 11:30 a.m gave me a price, when I asked for a lower price which I never thought I\'d get, he called his boss and took another $100 off. By 3 pm Tues. my carpet was all installed perfectly, and I will use this company over and over while I\'m doing my 8 room home over. I will also tell others of the great quality and service.

I was a bit nervous even in the thinking process of trying to decide whether I wanted new carpet laid down, or whether I wanted to go with the hardwood floors. When I called to speak with someone at NFD, they were very nice and helpful. Answered all my questions and even took away some of the fears that I had. When NFD came out to lay the floors down in my house. They showed up on time. They were very polite and professional when they were in my home. They moved furniture out of the way. Let me start by saying this is the second time we went with NFD, the first being a hallway and stairs between the two units of our Duplex. This time we had Laminate Flooring installed in both units for the Kitchens,dining Rooms and Hallways. Let me start with the Salesman Don P. who arrived on schedule and with the samples and most importantly the knowledge to explain the differences and advantages of each. When we pressed for a recomandation while we tried to pick between a couple of styles he advised us in one direction based on what we were trying to accomplish, separating the living room and Dining Room and Hallways. He hit it dead on. The installers came in and did the job on schedule and on time. They were not only courteous and professional, they were hardworking effiecient. I will call NFD every time we have carpet and flooring needs. OH did i mention they were the lowest of three bids and i never even showed them the other two, and yes their\'s was below the 15% they promise to beat the competition by.

Reciently, two of your sub-contract installers, Dave and Eric completed the removal of ceramic tile and installation of hardwood in our kitchen. The job turned out to be far more labor intensive than anyone expected. What was supposed to be a one day job turned out to be three full days ( actually, over work day hours) I am grateful they stuck with it and didn\'t walk away from what turned out to be far more than they contracted for. I do not know how they are compensated, but I hope consideration is given to anyone who completes and fulfills their responsibility as they did. The floor looks wonderful and credit must be given to Dave and Eric for not only sticking to an unpleasant task, but for going over and above what they may not have been comopensated for.

The installer, Andre DeSouza, worked incredibly long hours on Friday and returned on Saturday and was absolutely meticulous during the entire process. The National Floors Direct beat the lowest price (which was $150.00 more than NFD) by 15%. Not only that, the NFD let me use their cupon for $250.00 after I negotiated the final price. I\'m nuts for services. Now I don\'t think that I expect much, just call backs, followup, and genuine willingness to help if something went wrong. But today, in this outsourced, bottom line, next transaction world, it is extremely hard to find. You can stop looking because you get that and more with National Floors Direct. I have seen them make significant investments in their customer service team, including someone who follows up usually on very next day of your work to make sure that everything is to your satisfaction. If you do have any issues they make you an appointment and someone comes out and makes it right, no arguing, no explaining, just ask and you shall receive. You feel like you have not only purchased a floor (in my case hardwood floors in my kitchen, dining room, hallways and two sets of stairs) but you have entered into a partnership with them. Hardwood Stairs... if you have ever had to get quotes for these, you better be ready for sticker shock. National Floors Direct had not only a great price that beat their competitors, their product was far superior and the job was done quickly. Most companies don\'t stock stairs and it will take you months to get these installed, with National Floors it was just a day. I can\'t say enough about Raymond D and team. They were amazing. The way they finished my hardwood stairs with molding to cover where the builder of my house left raw edges was an example of the \"little extras\" that you experience with the top installers at NFD. I had both hardwood flooring and carpeting installed. Both installs went very well, and I am totally satisfied with the end result. I would especially like to comment on the carpet installtion done by Kenny D and his son. They were both very pleasant to deal with, worked very hard, and the quality of the work was excellent. Kenny\'s attention to detail was especially evident in the basement. With no prompting from me, he installed the carpet around a sump pump cover in such a way that it is totally hidden, but I can easily pull back the carpet if I need to access the pump. In addition, Kenny was very flexible in handling a couple of situations. Rather than asking me to disassemble a large computer cabinet so it could be moved out of the room, Kenny moved it back and forth while laying the carpet. When he got to the living room, he was only too happy to bury a home theater speaker cable, which goes across the room to the rear speakers, under the carpet so that for the first time it is invisible. I am delighted to have selected the NFD team for my new flooring project.

My name is Douglas A and this is my story... I live in a building that is almost 100 years old and you have to climb four flights of stairs just to get to my condo unit. The tile and carpet were laid in 1985 and, needless to say, it was time for a change. I saw your T.V. add and decided to visit your website. I answered your questions and promptly received an e-mail on a sunday afternoon. Monday morning, a young women called and asked if I would like to set up an in-home appointment and free estimate. Tuesday, a young man arrived with the samples of flooring I chose online. The samples were very nice but, I had a certian style I was looking for. I mentioned I was interested in Bamboo flooring and he ran down and up the four flights with the samples. I chose the Bamboo and received the interest free financing. To my surprise and pleasure, he said they would start the next day!! Wednsday morning I recieved a call at 9 am saying they would arrive between 11am and 1pm but, they arrived at 10:45 am. Three young men, (ages 27, 25, and 22 years old), arrived and I thought to myself, They are too young and inexperienced to do a proper job. Boy was I wrong!!! They began at 11am by ripping up the carpeting and tile and even moving the refrigerator and stove. They laid the first straight line of flooring and then proceeded to fly. These men worked for seven hours without a break, running up and down the four flights with 6ft boxes of flooring and everytime they had to make a cut to fit the room which had to be at least another 75 times. I had to force them to stop and eat some Italian subs I bought for dinner. They finished at 6:15, began cleaning and at 6:30 they left. The floor they installed is amazing and beautifull. In seven hours my condo went from the 1980\'s to a new century. The next day, thursday, a lovely women called to see if I was happy with the job. I am very, very, very happy and amazed!!! Keep up the good work and I will continue to sing your praises to everyone who tells me my flooring is awsome!!!!! An extremely satisfied customer.
